El Guardian de la Flor de Loto Other stories

Before I started writing the novel and also throughout its creative process, the life of each character was slowly outlined. The characters themselves told me more and more stories at the turn of each page: tales about their childhood, about their good times and their bad times, about their elders. Those chosen memories would later design their character.

Some of these tales have found their place in the final draft of El guardian de la flor de loto (The Guardian of the Lotus Flower). Others have not, and that is why I have wanted to save them in this section. How could I deprive them of their past?

Whoever wants to dive into them should take into account that they are not extracts out of El guardián de la flor de loto. Some of them do not even have the same style used throughout the novel. That is why you must read them after finishing the novel; and only do it if its characters have affected you in such a way as to compel you to learn more about them.
